It's now 3+am on Sunday morning.
Which means i have 3 more days before i leave this sunny island.
Have been very very busy.
Spent the entire night doing research on the area i'll be staying.
It's gonna be a huge challenge for me.
Cuz i'll be flying there alone and will have to take care of everything myself.
Have been researching on where the banks are, what are their opening hours,
where is the supermarket, etc etc.
I have also been printing maps.
I must start getting used to the tram system.
Glad it is not so winter now.
Temperatures fluctuate arnd 8-14degrees now.
For now, gonna take a break and watch the germany 3rd placing match and catch some sleep.
Gotta start packing all my stuff into my luggage tmr.
It is scary to hear some of my friends bringing 4luggages and 3handcarry.
Seriously, they are bringing their entire house over.

And yes, i will most prolly get another blog address soon.

Been 3 very long days for me
Thursday - Eat-until-die day a.k.a JB/kampung day
Friday - ECP and braving the storm with 100+ men in a tiny shelter

Today is the most fun and exciting.
Woke up at 7am to prepare to bake durian muffins.
was so tired due to the lack of sleep and had a tiny blunder with the recipe but i managed to recover it.
Got myself to the civilian war memorial at 1130 and gave the guys the muffins
they liked it
polished them off
and i was happy cuz there's lesser durians in my fridge!!!
Walked over to suntec for UMelb's predeparture talk
the contents were somewhat similar to last week's
but a little more informative with instructions from the school.
Paid $6 to join the Singapore Student Society!!
In short, i pay to receive emails on activities which i rarely will join in. LOL.
Had a cuppa with a few new coursemates after that.
I feel comfortable with them for now. Hopefully that last.

Finally at about 5pm.
i went back to the war memorial to snap pictures of the combined rehearsal.
It was fun. Pictures on my fb explains it all.

I realise it's been a month since i last updated.
I am back from Thailand, safely.
Each time live firing begins in another country,
i would have this weird feeling that smth was gonna happen and i won't be able to make it back home.
But i'm glad nthh did and i am back in 1 piece.

Thailand has been a torture.
The travelling time as well as the weather makes the worst combination for any soldier.
I also thought i would lose the only enjoyment in life while i was there, and that's eating.
Suffered a very bad side effect from taking the malaria pill.
It caused an inflammation to my esophagus
and i wasnt able to swallow any food.
I'm glad it was only temporary (7days to be exact).
Morale of this story: Stay upright and let the pill dissolve fully into your tummy.

Been back for slightly a week.
And yes i totally agree that singapore has no leisure activities.
Been slacking arnd quite a bit.
Need to make better use of my remaining time in Sg before i leave in 23 more days.. OMFG!

Went for IDP's pre-departure seminar
and met some of my potential classmates
Not too bad.
Only 1 guy mate and the remaining 10 are girls.
hohohohohohooo.
There's another seminar for UMelb students this saturday
hope to make some good friends there.
(althou the making friends process is so fake -.-)

First time ever i enjoyed oysters this much.

One more down.
NO MORE local exercises!!
I am left with a one and final 10days exercise in thailand.

Been quite busy since i booked out on friday evening.
Went to do quite a bit of shopping to buy stuff for Thailand.

On sat, went down to singtel to get my new iphone!!
Yes the battle btw bb and iphone is over and i decided on an iphone.
Just because apps are too irresistable. LOL.
And i went with my family to universal studios in the evening.
They have a promo now for fridays and saturdays.
Just pay $2 and you can enter the hollywood zone btw 7-9pm.
WHY NOT!!!
Althou it's just the 'shopping' street,
but you get to enter universal studios in singapore for only TWO BUCKS!
Best if you have a dbs/posb credit card,
you can simply get 2 free tickets!
Get down early if you dont wanna queue too long.

And today,
i stayed home to do alot of the little little things
until i received a call to mj.
woohooo~ luck was shining. Hahaa.

The entire week will be free for me
except tmr night
which i will have to book in for guard duty (until tues morning)
and thursday morning where i will have to submit my kitbag aka luggage.
So it's alot of packing for me
cuz i havent even started AT ALL.
Cant believe i wld be landing in thailand at this time in 7days.
I'd better do all the things i will need to before i leave.

My last long weekend is over.
I had 4days at home!
And really at home.
No where else to go to.
Everyone is busy with exams and stuff.
Quite depressing to know that there's no friends available for you.
Hahaa.

Tomorrow marks the start of our worst nightmare.
7days 6nights outfield.
Ok its the longest duration exercise we've ever had.
But that's not what we dread the most.
It's the crazy weather
and having to sleep with mosquitoes and sandflies.
I wonder how to prevent those.
Arghhh.
And its been raining like crazy EVERY evening for the past 2 weeks.

After this coming week
I'll have another 3 weeks to Thailand.
And once i come back,
I'll be gone!!
Hooooo~~
In other words,
time is going to fly from tomorrow.

Looking out my window
I can see the new shopping centre at Srgn mrt.
They are building it damnnnnn fast.
If you read wed's newspapers,
it featured the floor plan and the shops that are opening there!
OMG ITS DAMN HUGE.
And damn alot of makan i would frequent.
Starbucks, SushiTei, FishnCo, CrystalJade, DingTaiFeng, Ajisen and aplenty.
There'll also be a Shaw Theatres.

Ooops..
Seems i havent been updating alot here.
Hahaa.
Had a loooong weekend.
Booked out on thusday.
Went to do my checkup on friday.
That's for my aussie visa application.
Everything's complete.
Now awaiting the visa to be approved.
SO EXPENSIVE.

Anyway
This is the lousiest saturday and sunday i ever had.
I stayed at home all e way camping by the tv and comp.
Nothing much, just rotting away.
Hahaa.

I'll have another super long weekend coming up next week.
Prolly get off on tuesday, thursday, friday.
Reason is simple
Cuz we will be having a 7days outfield the following week.
Better have more rest at home first.
Haha.

I'm quite glad bout my aussie stuff.
Almost everything is done.
I have done my visa,
secured my apartment,
i'm just left with purchasing my air ticket
which i have been hoping of a sale
but NO. -.-

Happy 22nd Birthday to me.

I AM TWENTY TWO?!?!?
Cant believe it.
I was like 21 only yesterday.

I'm lucky to be able to claim my off and spend this day OUT of camp.
Sadly, i was given a good ''bash'' before i booked out on weds.
It still hurts now... #^%&$%*&%(&^*
I'll be on off till monday night.
A good 5days break for me.
I hope to do the things i planned to do within these 5 days.
Lots of off and leave clearing from now.
A total of 16 days to clear
and i have another 13 more weeks in camp.
Sounds pretty good huh? LOLLLL.

Went to town on sunday and found . . . . . .
- the trade-in value of my 80gb ipod classic is only $80 if i trade-in now
- to mend the sole of my birks, it cost $45 while a new one cost $99.

the money issue is bugging me again.

WILD HONEY (Mandarin Gallery)

Pot of Earl Grey (which tasted more like peppermint tea)
$6 - Generous amount of tea leaves and totally value for money cuz you could refill hot water non stop and its still flavourful

They provided white and brown sugar cubes at the table!

Canadian - Pancakes, wild Forrest berries, compote, crisp bacon
$18 - I could taste their efforts for making their own pancakes. But it was underdone and still damp on the inside. Bacon was great thou.
Summary: Not worth for $18.

Tunisian - Sizzling pan of tomato stew, 2 runny eggs & chorizo sausage (pork n beef)
$18 - Flavour burst.
Summary: Not for the faint heart. Die die must try.

How can anyone resist the Tunisian. Just dip the bread into the pan, burst the yolk, stir the stew a lil, put the bread into yur mouth, feel the juices working within your taste buds. omg.

I want to eat that again!!

Read alot about the crazy queues. Went there at 4+pm on a sunday afternoon and there were seats available!

Omg i totally regretted not seriously taking a picture cuz the cashier (zoom in) was soooo sweeeet!!!

Overall : 6.6

Verdict: Breakfast all day round, breakfast around the world, anyway you call it. Food is very much overpriced for most of the sets (except some). Great place to be for a lazy afternoon. Till now, breakfast is still best eaten with horses.

It's a great place with a great food idea (breakfast all day)

To summarise, only the ambience and Tunisian set is worth going for.
The Canadian wasnt special.
My friend tried the Scandinavian and Belgian,
which he said wasnt that good either.
Tunisian is a die die must have.

It started to rain a lot this month.

That is inclusive of my off days, leaves and thailand trip.
The days are getting lesser.

I have roughly thought about it.
My course in Melb is 2 years.
I will most prolly stay for another year.

After 3 years, i will be eligible to obtain a PR.
Let's see how things goes.

I'm finally home after the long weekend.
We were for live firing on sat and sun.
And sadly
i didnt manage to get the $200 marksman.
I feel damn lousy over it
not because i was a bobo shooter
but it's just that close.
Last year, i missed by 1 bullet to get the 200 bucks.
This year, i met the target for the 200bucks,
but because it was a team effort,
my team brought the results down and ta-dah, no money.
arghhhh
it's a freaking 200bucks and i can do so much with it
given my miserable monthly of less than 600.

Anyways
I booked out on monday night and only be booking in tonight.
Ytd was one of the best days in the past few weeks.
The weather was the best.
Cloudy the entire day (spared from the horrible heat)
I went to town to fulfil my craving for starbuck's dark mocha frappe.
Ytd being my dad's bday,
i got him a cake from canele
and we had dinner at this thai restaurant at amara hotel.
The food was damn good. (and so was the bill)
Hahaa.

It feels really good to be home on a weekday.
Feels so weird actually.
I have all afternoon to myself!!

It finally rained today!!!

Yea i know the afternoons are still damn hot.

Alot of training this week involves ankle twisting.

As usual, good times just slips off.
I had a really good break the past week.
Thanks to cny, we manage to get a super long weekend.
And i'm sure there's no more of this until i Ord. (unless i spam my leave and offs)
If things go smoothly,
i will Ord and be out of this country in less than 5 months.
That is damn soooon.
It equates to another 20 weekend book-outs only!

I had a really good time ytd.
Bowling, kite flying, taking pictures with balloons and dinner.
Just look at those pictures we took
They seem to tell a story
A story about our friendship
That will go a long way. . .
Till we get married and have kids
And it will carry on down the next generation.
I know i'm thinking abit too far but i am very sure about it.

Thanks to someone (you know who you are)
You reminded me to think about my future
I guess its because of the so many other things that i was busy with the past few months,
i totally forgot about the biggest problem i (everyone) had.
And that is, planning for the future.
I have roughly made a calculation.
I would minimally need $3k a month to sustain my life.
After paying for house, car, utilities, food, etc
I dont think i even have any left for savings!
Unless i am a magician, i don't think i can survive.
Yes, I will get myself a full-time job
and another one to supplement the income.
Surely i will be able to get myself a good fulltime job.
But i'm already thinking about with is the supplementary 'job' i wanna do.
I hope to start having a steady stream of income from now.
Even if it is as little as 500/mth.
I have been thinking alot about this ever since years ago
but i never came to a conclusion.
Many ideas came to mind but nothing seems realistic enough for me to attempt.
The best one i had was investing in the forex.
I tried again and again and again
but in the end
i suffered damage again and again and again.
I feel helpless.
Not about money loss
but i am at a lost about my future.
I need to keep myself alive
and also be able to support my family and parents.
It all runs down to the issue of money.
We're all gonna be 22 this year.
There's no time left!
We need to start earning money!!
So to all my dear friends reading this
if you have any good money making ideas
please share it and maybe we can fight it together.
I know i am being very straight in this post
but such as the hard facts of life.

I am back with a new post.
Actually nth much to update so i went MIA. lol.

Remember i was saying about my sprained ankle from NZ.
Yes, it still hurts abit now.
I cant stretch my feet.
Trying not to see the sinseh not because i'm afraid of the pain,
but i dont wanna go thru cny with a bazhang on my feet!!
Maybe i will see the sinseh this coming weekend.

As usual for cny,
i got down to chinatown after midnight to grab some cheap deals
and surprisingly,
there are loads to buy this year.
I think the best deal came from the gua-zi-wang shop.
Alot of stuff at 3 for 10bucks
and the huge 2kg bag of peanuts cost only $10!!

The 1st day of cny was abit different for me this time.
After visiting my aunite,
it was gambling time. LOL.
It was good experience. =x
BUT ITS VERY BORING TODAY.
I have nothing to do on the 3rd day of cny.
Slacking and rotting at home in front of my lappy.
I need to MJ PLEASEEEEEE.

OH and did i say that i finally had breakfast at riders
YES, i went AGAIN!
Lol.
I would recommend the Omelette set and the Riders set.
They're good!
But i regret not trying the eggs benedict!

Got home on Friday afternoon.
Had a very bad jetlag.
Slept at 8pm that night.
Still feeling some tiredness now.

Well,
for a short summary of the past 2 weeks.
It was a bad exercise for all of us.
We were suppose to be the supporting unit.
But we were tekan-ed as if we were the ones being evaluated.
So much shit for being the best in India.
The weather one the most crazy.
We wore 4layers to sleep at night (outfield)
but woke up shivering like mad every morning.
The wind + the rain = Maximum combo.
At about 9am every morning,
we would start stripping the layers off cuz of the sun.
and from around 3pm in the afternoon,
we start putting back the layers.
Seriously, its 4 seasons in a day.

Oh,
some of us (including me) almost met with a road accident.
Super scary.
Let me know if you wanna hear the story.
Haha.

And at the start of our R&R,
I FREAKING SPRAINED MY ANKLE.
Limped thru the last 2 days till i boarded the plane.
It still hurts now.
Haven seen i doctor yet =x

AND OMG.
One more week to CNY???
I feel so not prepared.
It's like so sudden.
OH and i am booking in in an hour.
WTH right.
No offs once we come back from oversea exercise.
But the offs are postponed to CNY week.
(good in some sense)

Alright
I gotta carry on packing my stuff.
Gonna limp my way back into camp with all the bags...

We had brunch at Riders Cafe (Bukit Timah Saddle Club) along Eng Neo Ave.
You cant get there without a car.
Its a damn nice place.
Who knows, it might become the 2nd Dempsey.
I really wanted to get the breakfast menu
but the portion doesnt seem very big and i was pretty hungry.
And i had a fish and chips in e end.
It wasnt really good actually.
(No wonder everyone else posted pictures of breakfast!!)
It has quite a good rating online
and i might consider going back there to have breakfast one day.
Really regretted not ordering from the breakfast menu
cuz its cheap and looks really good. ($10-$13)

Went to meet Tingxuan at Paragon Cenele after that.
We had a solid good 2.5hrs talk about Melbourne.
Haha.
I guess she is really the best person to talk to
cuz she has been there for the past 4 years? (or 3)
she is seriously an encyclopedia
loading me with lots of information that i need to know.
now i have quite a bit of things to do
and more imptly,
buy my air tickets and settle my apartment.
I am seriously considering going over in april/may to survey the place
and maybe prepare things such as opening a bank acct etc?
I'm not sure if the amount of things to do there will justify my need for a trip over.
cuz air tickets cost arnd 1.2k?

Finally got out kit bag submitted and no more crazy packing.

There is one thing i told myself that i must write it here no matter what.
I tot my dad was joking last sunday
when he told me
eh u 3 weeks (taiwan + xmas + new yr week) nv go in the sun
u become not so dark leh.
and then that night when i booked in
my 3 weeks nv see army mate said
'eh ze hao! hao jiu bu jian. eh ni bian bai le!!'
and that was when i realised its quite true ah.

Anyway
i have had a crazy week
and that is a crazy bookout.
Booked out last evening and i had been running until now.
Rushed down to vivo last night to get some winter stuff.
Cuz we have to finish packing and submit out kit bag a.k.a luggage by this coming friday.
They will be sending it to auckland for us.
And i happen to slp until 2pm today
cuz i have had damn little slp the past week due to the outfield exercise.
Damn tiring and damn hard to tune back to the normal training life.

Anyway i went to central to cut hair
and waited 1.5hrs for my turn
cuz there was a longgggg queue. (cuz it cost only $4.80 to cut!)
And then i rushed to AMK library to get some stuff.
OMGGGGGGG.
And i have slightly more than one hour now
to have my dinner and pack all my remaining stuff
cuz i am booking in!!!
WTH.
I am on guard duty tmr.

I seriously hope i remember to bring everything to camp tonight
or else i will have lots on my hand when i go to the airport on the 20th.

They chartered a SIA flight for us.

I think i have had a really good rest for the past few weeks.
Its gonna take quite a bit for me to tune back to the usual army life.
Moreover, we are going outfield this coming week.
Its gonna be very tiring.
Hope i can still sustain.
I just have to hang on for the next 2 weeks of training.

Went out to sing K with the poly grp this afternoon.
Havent met them for a long time.
It seems that everyone is doing pretty well!
Dynasty Classic KTV is seriously damn cheap.
They open only on weekends and P.H.
They charge by per room
$5/hr before 5pm and $10/hr after 5pm.
And each person needs to pay another $5 for a drink.
BUT IT IS STILL DAMN CHEAP.
No GST and service charge.
WHERE TO FIND SO CHEAP AND GOOD QUALITY KTV ON WEEKENDS!!!

Oh and we went to bugis to have steamboat after that.
Haven had steamboat for a long time!
I think its abit ex
but its the company that matters la.

Its the time of the year AGAIN!

Reflections and Resolutions.

Hmmm, reflections for 2009 first.
On a summary,
2009 wasnt really very exciting and colourful as compared to previous years.
Perhaps because i spend almost every other day in camp
doing the same usual stuff.
How boring right.
Anyway i guess the only highlights of 2009 (in chronological order) was...
1. Taking part in NDP (Apr-Aug)
2. First ever life firing exercise in India (Oct)
3. Family holiday to Taiwan. (Dec)

Usually at this time of the year,
everyone will be saying
'Wah, 2009 past so fast'
But to me,
after really sitting down and thinking about it
i dont really feel so.
Time seems to have slowed down alot in 2009 compared to previous years.
Maybe its because of the daily activities and my involvement in any other things.

At this time one year ago,
i made 3 resolutions hoping to realise at least 2.
And one year later (today),
I am sad to say that i have only achieved 1 of the 3.
I shall not say what my hopes were (i did not mention the details of it 1 year ago as well)
I will keep this result in my heart
and make new resolutions this year.

What's over is over
Its a new year
and a new beginning.
I hope it will be a better year ahead.

And now, my resolutions for 2010.
Again i have made another 3 similar resolutions.
This time with some minor adjustments to it.
I would still hope to achieve at least 2 of them.
(becuz i know that the 3rd is somewhat impossible)

Just a very brief summary of the coming 12months.
I'll be going to NZ for exercise in mid Jan.
Would be back by early Feb for CNY which happens to fall on v.day.
Mar to Apr wld be alot of preperation for Melb (eg source for housing)
For may and june, i might be going for one last firing exercise in thailand.
Once i'm done with that, i will prepare to leave Sg in mid July for another chapter of my life.
That wld be all the way until Nov
and i will probably be back to repay my 1month of disrupted NS.
It seems like alot of activities going on there.
I'm pretty sure its gonna be a much better year than 2009.

I seem to mention alot of displeasure towards 2009
but in fact, i just feel that 2009 has been very monotonous.
2010 is going to be so so soooooooo exciting.
I hope that all the planning for my uni life goes smoothly.

I just wanna say that i am so NOT a party person.
Totally dislike clubbing.
My decision to go dbl-o ytd
was just to confirm if i still feel the same.
So as of today
i have only been to club twice.
The first time was 3years ago to Zouk
And 3years later is Dbl-o.
I dont deny the fact that under poor lighting and influence of alcohol
Most of the females in the club are so damn chio.
But than again,
i dont need a party girl.

Timre with 7's was good.
Its a break from the usual cooking at home dinners.
But i would seriously prefer the traditional.
Can i suggest we go traditional again for our next dinner?
The food there is good
And its not very ex.

Oh and on new year's eve
I choose to stay at home and do the countdown by the tv, with my magazines and on skype!
Have no company to go out anyway.
I dont feel like squeezing among the crowds.
Anyway i went to KakiBukit at 6pm to check out PageOne's warehouse sale.
Its a 4day sale which will end on the 3rd.
Its an ulu place.
But i have been really keen on getting some books.
At the end i didnt manage to find what i wanted.

But i still ended up leaving the place with about 15 magazines and 1 book.
Cost me only $45!
The magazines are only a few months old and cost $1-3 each!
I will STRONGLY encourage people who have interest and likes arts and design
to go down to this sale
because they stock books mainly from this category
and most are 30%-50% off.

Now i am hoping Kino will have a warehouse sale

I am hoping to have a bookshelf of cookbooks.
Not ordinary cookbooks
But those that are abit more atas.
Eg. Alinea.

I had been so busy the past few weeks that i have so much neglected the year end sale in town!!
Went to vivo to walk abit and realised that i have missed out so much!

I came back on the 19th at night
and reached home about midnight.
My dad turned on the tv and saw a report
that a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Hualien that night at 9.02pm.
I was stunned for a moment
and then got all worried.
I was there just 5days before it happened!
I was worried for Liu ah-yi.
Dropped her a msg on fb
and she replied the next day that nothing has happened.
Her damage was only ONE broken flower vase.
Indeed it is quite shocking.
Her house is only a 10mins walk to the beach (the epicenter was only 25km from shore)
I think its a blessing. .

I am feeling ultimate laziness.
I have got so much of things to arrange and pack in my room
and all i do is sit infront of my lappy the entire day.

It's been a very fulfiling day for me.
Went down to Courts to check out camera price
and realised its only a $30 discount.
Had lunch at Ikea and walked arnd abit.
Felt like buying some furniture.
I wanna build a book shelf.
For my own collection of books.
Maybe sometime in the future.

Went over to Harvey Norman at Millenia Walk in the late afternoon.
Heard from a friend that also bought a camera there.
Cuz the guy not only gives discount (can bargin)
he throws in lots of other freebies.
Went over and bargain for a very very long time
and he was only willing to give a $70 discount
ohwell, better than the $30 that courts gives.
Cuz its a fixed priced item islandwide
i think the discount plus all the free gifts make it a good buy
and so...
I officially own a dslr.
I think its time i start figuring out how to use it.

I think today is one of the days i learnt the most in 2009.
Talked to 2 people at different times
and i feel triggered.
We talked about life
and what are we going to do in the future
and how are we going to do that.
i dont really agree with what this friend tells me
but i think its good to hear from a different perspective

I know i have made my decision long ago

The ice cream was great.

Had a great K-ing session ytd.
$9.14 per person and can sing until you rot
we reached at 1.45pm
booked a 3hr package
but they gave free extension for weekdays
and they lady told us
we could sing until 1am
like WTH right.

Today had been a random day
and i had it great.
Supposedly brunch at dempsey
but it became lunch.
and because the menu was supper naggy
(or perhaps cuz i didnt understand it)
i didnt realise what i ordered until it was served.
I had SALAD FOR LUNCH.
faints*
i felt like a girraffe
munching leaves after leaves.
and i just realised the funny taste in the salad
was 'aioli'
its a sauce made from garlic and olive oil.
yes, super weird taste la.
but all was good.
i still wanna go back there to have pancakes for brunch one weekend!

What happened to the PS Daiso.
So many things are missing on the shelves!!
I cant even find sushi vinegar, tempura flour, etc . . .

I am reading this book now
'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'
haven finished reading it yet
but it sets me thinking.
It narrates about how parents educate their children about life/money.
All parents wld tell their children :
Study hard in sch,
Get good grades,
So that you can get a secure job,
Earn money,
Buy a house, a car,
and the story repeats...
Its simply a rat race.
Is life just like that?
It makes you think how to get out of the race,
be special
and be rich.

Anyways i went to K 2days ago
with another 4 camp mates.
We booked a 3hr slot
and wanted to extend it towards the end
and the lady said,
'cuz today is weekend, we will free extend the room for you UNTIL someone needs to use the room'
OMG!
The entire ktv only had 4rooms in use
we ended singing until our stomachs were growling
and left.
in short, 5solid hours for $10 ONLY.

Happy 44th birthday Singapore!
I had a great NDP ytd.
Every year on this day
the special feeling always surface
its the love for the country.
But this year, being a part of the parade,
it simply feels different.
Taken quite a whole load of pictures

I have officially 363days to ORD!
Which means i wont be taking part in next year's NDP.
(We have already been tasked to do the president gun salute for NDP2010)
We have already gone for our No.1 Uniform fitting!!
And reserved our uniform!!!
On one hand i hope to be in the uniform,
but i hope i won't ever.
Cause its the same uniform for army furneral.
(Yes -.- We are in the funeral team)

And now
life wld slowly turn back to normal
with all that training
to prepare for our India trip in 2months.

I'll be booking in tonight
but i heard we might be off tmr night for 2 days.
Gonna get some good rest and do the things i wanna do.
There is still one more stunt i have yet to pull. . .

Actually it had been a short short week for me.
Booked out on Thursday before lunch.
Reason?
cuz we are an infectious battery (fever and flu)
and had to be segregated from the rest
and so we are given the day off.
but ben being ben
rushed for MJ session with army mates and lost $40 bucks.
den rushed off in the evening for dinner with bunk mates
to celebrate my sgt's Ord-ing.
We had Carnivore at vivo.
I am pissed in fact.
Got my ass in the restaurant at 6.15
and we billed at arnd 7.45.
EXCUSE ME? I paid $46 bucks and haven ate enuff and everyone is rushing off.
Next we went on to partyworld in Orchard and sang till midnight.
it wasnt a good combi cuz only me and my sgt was singing all night long.

Friday,
went to Goodwood park hotel for the durian dessert buffet.
it was the last day.
cost me $23.
It was pretty good
except for the fact that it being a DESSERT buffet
you cant stuff a lot into ur tummy.
but i have no idea how shanlong stuffed 15 durian pancake into his mouth -.-
later that afternoon,
we went to K again.
This time it was at some secluded ktv and only $12.40 for 3hours!
cheap and good.

Ytd was the last second NDP show we are doing.
i'm gonna miss it loads.
but one thing to comment,
the security was way too high.

did nth today
simply rot my way off at home
and facebook-ing.
(cuz i am too broke to leave the house)

anyway i realised i have been very close to the smokers in camp
if i dont have enough self-control
it wun be long before i start and be like them.
ahhhh.
say no to smoking!!

arghhhhhhhhh.
i feel messed up with life.
i need to good break.

had a day off again today!
kindda wasted it
by slping thru half the day.

and i just realised i have been spending a lot on food and beer
went to DXO ytd after our wushu rehearsal and we shared 2 tower of beer.
and today, i went to some unknown coffeeshop in kovan for zicha and beer again.
very much like those old uncles.

im very much look forward to NE3 tmr!!
quite sad that all the floating platform days r gonna be over soon.
oh wells,
im gonna make good use of tmr.

had a very very very long week in camp.
but it's the slackest week i had in army so far
i slept for about 10-12hours (accumulated) daily
for 4 consecutive each day

NDP has been great recently
we have been finding fun amongst ourselves each time we get on stage.
and i had the best laugh in a long time last night
where another performing group behind us
had many many gays
who danced and shoke their ass alot.
and there was this crazy woman who attempted
to throw her friend's killer boots at us!

arghh

Everything was great for today at the platform
until it rained at the very end.
it was a mere 5mins to the end of the show and it poured.
We were told to stay on stage till all the audiences leave.
We were drenched.
and started to play, dance and kick water for about half an hour
until we were given instructions to hide under shetler
(cuz of lightning)
So we waited and waited and finally got to leave after another hour.
i bet the taxi uncle didnt realise we were all so wet.

Walked abit arnd Orchard today.
been some time since i last 'shopped' there.
feel like grabbing a starbucks now.

this weekend is so not weekend to me.
booking in at 9am tmr (i mean today)
and we'll reach the floating platform at arnd 11 for NEshow1.
god knows why we must be there so early when our performance is at arnd 8pm.
and i will book in by 730am on sunday again
cuz we are all confined
for an ultimate crappy reason.

it was.... shocking?
we didnt know that there were sooooo many audiences?
they filled up almost the entire platform!!
its just a rehearsal leh.
oh wells, there were goodie bags given away la.
(had i knew i wld have fought for the tix)

seems like next week is not going to be an easy week for me.
i wanna get the enxt few weeks over and done with fast!!!

anyways,
i am trying to apply for a disruption
if i am successful
i will unofficially ord in another 365 days.

and he likes pulling the wheel sharply to overtake cars.
i'm glad i survived.

and i realise this year's ndp seems quite nice.
the lighting effects and all.

once again,
today is my off day in repayment for my burnt saturdays.
it was my first time stepping onto the floating platform on sat
and it was great
and we had so much fun.
agree that waiting for our turn to perform was irritating
but somehow
we managed to find fun ourselves.
hahaa.
1 platform performance(rehearsal) down
7 more to go -.-

oh and guess what
we arrived at marina at arnd 1+pm
and our holding area was the f1 pit building
my first time stepping there too
and it was damn nice
just imagine those machines flying pass the tracks!

spent my day rotting away ytd
but managed to fix up my new desktop last night.
the 23" lcd is now my new love
i'm gonna fix up the antenna real soon.
woohooo

time to get out of home and enjoy some aircon.

Its been a good 'long' weekend for me.
Booked out on thursday afternoon.
Had dinner at vivo.
There's this 3-in-1 jap makan place (includes ajisen)
but my ratings will be 0/5.
service sucks.
food sucks.
they forgot my orders and despite asking them so many times
they just kept saying its coming.

Woke up damn early on friday morning to get my ass to sentosa
for some unit anniversary.
din participate at all (HAHA)
had loads of fun watching ppl being thrown into the sea
and many mm's streaming in as the afternoon came.
Went to vivo's Akashi to have lunch (it was 2+ alr)
the food is a lil pricey
but nontheless gooooood.

Saturday was another wuwhu day.
good weather n no sun burns this time.
and came the night
we went to mok's 21st at costa sands.
super small chalet with more than 100 guest
and no food left at 8+pm
we eventually drove to east coast lagoon for makan.
1st time there.
super huge makan place just like chompchomp/newton.
it's gonna be where i'll frequent alot.
hahaa.

Sunday
last day of the PC show.
no idea why my mom so much wanted to get a new desktop (laptop)
but we eventually decided on a HP desktop
slimline CPU which is space-friendly
and a 23-inch flatscreen
which can be a TV as well!!!
now that rocks
cuz i will finally have a TV in my room!!!

wonder why i am online and typing this post on a monday evening?
haha.
having my off day today
and spent it in a great way!
woke up close to noon (fully charged)
and dragged myself to vivo's daiso and pageone
but din manage to get what i want :(
and later went to bugis's TCC
love the place and company more than anything.
chat and rot with friends till now.
back at home.
preparing to book in.

gonna be a long long week for me.
guard duty on friday
which means not booking out
and wushu on saturday!
now i have sunday left for myself.
